WhatsApp Web Call Recorder does not collect, store, transmit, or share any user data. Everything the extension does happens locally on your device.
storage.local API, so you don't have to re-select it each time.web.whatsapp.com and showing a small
on-page recording indicator.web.whatsapp.com.Recorded files are written straight to your local Downloads folder using Chrome's downloads API. The extension does not keep a copy, does not read the file back afterward, and has no way to access it once saved. What you do with the recording — keep it, delete it, share it — is entirely up to you and happens outside the extension.
This extension does not integrate with, or share data with, any third-party service.
Recording a call may require the other participant's knowledge or consent depending on your jurisdiction — some places require only the recording party's consent, others require everyone on the call to agree. This is a legal question about how you use the extension, not something the extension itself can determine or enforce, and it is your responsibility to check the rules that apply to you before recording a call with someone else.
